All 54 plants

Every plant in the picker, grouped by type. Each name opens a care page with light, watering, potting, winter and pet-safety notes, and the sources behind them.

Light uses NC State Extension’s definitions: sunny means 6 or more hours of direct sun, part sun 2 to 6 hours or dappled light, and shade or indoors under 2 hours. Pot sizes are our grouping: small up to about 5 litres, medium about 5 to 15 litres, large over 15 litres. A band is only a rough fit: for tomato, chilli, brinjal, lettuce and radish, extension services publish a minimum volume and depth, shown in the Pot column, and that minimum applies whatever the band. Work out your pot’s volume.
